The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project administered by the California Center for Sustainable Energy voted to add $4.5 million in funds to the state’s clean-vehicle rebate program in February. A purchaser or lessee of a 2013 Ford C-Max Energi qualifies for a $1,500 rebate. The vehicle must be registered and used in California for a minimum of 36 consecutive months after the purchase or lease date. As of today, there was almost nine million remaining in the fund. There are many different vehicles that qualify other than the C-Max Energi, such as the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and Ford Fusion Energi. The application for the rebate is found at the Center for Sustainable Energy website.
