Today I received the email displayed below from Ford. What was interesting is the email has two marketing messages. First, it promotes the C-Max Hybrid/Energi and electrified vehicle technology. Second, it contains a special private offer of $750 cash. The asterisk by the private offer states: “Not available on hybrids, …, C-MAX, C-MAX Energi …”. Ford really needs to improve their marketing of the C-Max. It is misleading to send an email to potential customers that expressed interest in the C-Max combined with a “Private Cash” offer that doesn’t apply to the C-Max. The Ford C-Max Ads on YouTube are disappointing with limited viewership. Now, they’re sending emails to potential customers that are sure to frustrate those very same likely buyers. C’mon Ford. Your marketing needs to be improved for the C-Max.
