According to Steve Liu, a CMaxChat follower, the MyFord Mobile app is now compatible with the C-Max Energi. The incompatibility of this app with the C-Max Energi has been a frustration for many early adopters. I’m posting this blog to encourage owners to use the app. I would also appreciate feedback on the app posted as comments to this blog.
Answer: Some C-Max buyers or prospective customers that want to research these vehicles to the extreme will be interested in checking the manuals. The Manuals are now available at the Ford Owner web site. The available manuals are:
Answer: New Ford C-Max Hybrid and Energi owners may want to be aware of all notes on breaking-in the C-Max included in the manual. Here’s a complete list:
Breaking-in, Page 246
You need to break in new tires for approximately 300 miles (480 kilometers). During this time, your vehicle may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics. The engine also needs to break in. Avoid hard accelerations and driving too fast for the first 1000 miles. If possible, avoid carrying heavy loads up steep grades during the break-in period.
Your fuel economy should improve throughout your hybrid’s break-in period. …Do not measure fuel economy during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers) of driving (this is your engine’s break-in period); a more accurate measurement is obtained after 2000 miles–3000 miles (3200 kilometers–4800 kilometers).
Vehicle Health Report, Page 400
The system allows you to check your vehicle’s overall health in the form of a diagnostic report card. [Note: In order to allow a break-in period for your vehicle, you may not be able to create a Vehicle Health Report until your vehicle odometer has reached 200 miles.] The vehicle health report contains valuable information such as:
• Vehicle Diagnostic Information
• Scheduled maintenance
• Open Recalls and Field Service Actions
• Unserviced items from vehicle inspections by your authorized dealer.
